The Next Sushmita Sen?

Sometimes I ask myself what if my daughter would be the next Sushmita Sen? It’s not the face that we are talking about here, or her having an Indian blood. It’s all about being a beauty queen per say. On how they are… the way they project on TV… the way carry themselves as a whole. I see this in my daughter.

At 19 months, I’d often see her making faces and giggling in front of the mirror, mimicking every little thing that I do every morning before I go to work. Not only that she’s also a young critic. She would tell you “nice” if you are looking nice - that happens when I wear my accessories or fancy tops, but at times when I ask her “Is mama nice?”, she’d say “no” straight away without even throwing a glance at you hahaha!

That’s how it came to my mind, would she be the next Miss Universe of her generation?

So what if I’m bragging, I’m her mother…. Don’t forget that! ;-)

My Talking Toddler

She really surprises me everyday with her new words.

When we went out last Friday, the moon was already up. While seated inside the car, she suddenly pointed out and said “moooooon!”.

We had to get some stuff that afternoon. We went from one shop to another. As we come in, she’d say “hi” to the sales clerk, and “babay” as we go with her hand waving. Because of that, one guy gave her Barbie wrist watch for free hahaha!

I shouldn’t be surprised actually. They say from 19 months onwards, expect that a child understands as many as 200 words, though they may only use 50-75 of them regularly. Some could say two-words together without a struggle of saying it.

I also often hear her say to her doll “sit de“, where she means “sit there“.

This morning we called home and she spoke to my brother. She calls him “papa“. While she was talking to him, she was watching Wowowee at the same time, and she kept on saying “wowowoyi” on the phone. When she got tired of talking, she suddenly said “babay“. Hahaha!

Yes, you’ve read the title right! Barney fever at home is almost over! She now asks for Wowowoyi, her version of Wowowee.

The day we got our TFC connection back, I immediately switched the channel to TFC1, where Wowowee was currently showing. The moment she saw it, she said “wowowoyi“. She remembered! She could even say it now!
